Leadership means turning technical complexity into commercial clarity — aligning people,
expertise, and disciplined execution to deliver lasting value.

Rod Gibbons, CEO

Leadership

Schooner Energy management team combines deep technical, operational, commercial, and strategic expertise across the full exploration and production lifecycle.

The founders bring a complementary combination of petroleum engineering, well construction, field operations, corporate governance, and project-management expertise relevant to planning and executing exploration drilling and oil and gas production.

Collectively, their experience covers the principal stages of an exploration and production program: opportunity evaluation, subsurface and well planning, cost and risk assessment, contractor selection, drilling execution, well completion and testing, production optimization, integrity management, and ongoing field operations.

This breadth enables Schooner Energy to integrate technical decisions with safety, commercial discipline, and long-term asset management.
