A solar panel, or solar module, is one component of a photovoltaic system. They are constructed out of a series of photovoltaic cells arranged into a panel. They come in a variety of rectangular shapes and are installed in combination to generate electricity. Solar panels are comprised of several individual solar cells which are themselves composed of layers of silicon, phosphorous (which provides the negative charge), and boron (which provides the positive charge). Solar panels absorb the photons and in doing so initiate an electric current. The resulting energy generated from photons striking the surface of the solar panel allows electrons to be knocked out of their atomic orbits and released into the electric field generated by the solar cells which then pull these free electrons into a directional current. This entire process is known as the Photovoltaic Effect. View Details
All-in-one solar power solution The EasySolar combines a MPPT solar charge controller, an inverter/charger and AC distribution in one enclosure. The product is easy to install, with a minimum of wiring. The solar charge controller: Blue Solar MPPT 100/50 Up to three strings of PV panels can be connected to three sets of MC4 (PV-ST01) PV connectors. The inverter/charger: MultiPlus Compact 12/1600/70 or 24/1600/40 The MPPT charge controller and the MultiPlus Compact inverter/charger share the DC battery cables (included). The batteries can be charged with solar power (SmartSolar MPPT) and/or with AC power (inverter/charger) from the utility grid or a genset. AC distribution The AC distribution consists of a RCD (30 mA/16 A) and four AC outputs protected by two 10A and two 16A circuit breakers. One 16A output is controlled by the AC input: it will switch on only when AC is available. PowerAssist Unique PowerAssist technology protects the utility or generator supply from being overloaded by adding extra inverter power when needed. Unique solar application software Several software programs (Assistants) are available to configure the system for various grid interactive or stand-alone applications. *information from manufacturer catalogue View Details
Rutland 1200 Turbine Features Unique Tri-Namic Aerofoil Blades The refined aerofoil blade profile is purpose designed for quietness, low windspeed start up and high wind peak aerodynamic performance. Each injection moulded blade is identical and perfectly balanced for smooth operation. Unrivalled power generation of 250W at 10m/s (23mph/37kmph) and peak power of 483W @ 15m/s. Our efficient, finely profiled Tri-namic blades ensure that the Rutland 1200 converts the maximum energy available in the wind to charge your batteries. Elegant and Aerodynamically Styled The sculpted nose and nacelle efficiently direct the flow of air leading to the built-in tail fin which directs the rotor to the prevailing wind. Our Build Quality The Rutland 1200 Turbine sets the standard for micro wind turbines in both performance and reliability. At our manufacturing facility in Corby, UK we use high grade materials to create a robust, high quality and long lasting turbine. Distinctive blue hard anodized marine grade aluminium, modern and lightweight UV stable injection mouldings and stainless steel components and fasteners perform in temperatures experienced from the Arctic to the equator. Available in 12V 24V & 48V versions. Generator The Rutland 1200T generator is based on Marlec’s pioneering disk type design. Its low resistance AC operation combines the latest powerful rare earth type magnets with a 3-phase winding and low friction bearings. This is housed in a protective aluminium casing and all manufactured by Marlec in the UK. *features from manufacturers literature View Details
A SIMPLE WATER-TO-WIRE SOLUTION This micro hydro solution is based on both proprietary designs in the turbine and drivetrain, and off-the-shelf components, to deliver a complete water-to-wire system. This solution is a self-contained module made of single or twin turbines, generators, electrical cabinet, and is connectable to BOP/Grid. They are assembled and mounted in a self-stabilized concrete structure requiring no civil works. The system power output is 480 V, 3-phase AC, 50 Hz & 60 Hz. This new, highly cost-effective, renewable energy solution, capable of capturing most of the untapped energy on your site, has many assets. Its performance levels have been tested both in laboratory and on site. Actual power rating and instantaneous output depend mainly on water velocity (>1 m/s). In our catalogue of product, we can select the best options to suit a particular site. This technology is scalable by equipping an existing canal with dozens or hundreds of 5 to 15 kw modules. Land usage Turbines are installed on existing, untapped water infrastructures. No land planning is needed, with no modification required on existing assets. Predictable and available Permanent, predictable and controllable production with 95% availability. *information from manufacturer View Details
